PRCS RESPONSE TO SUICIDE ATTACK IN KARACHI
Karachi: The PRCS Sindh Branch responded immediately to blasts at different locations in Karachi on July 7, 2008 injuring 41 people. 2 Ambulances of PRCS rushed to Banaras Chowk, site of first explosion and evacuated three casualties to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
From North Nazimabad, Qasba Colony and Hydri Market, the sites of other blasts, Sindh Branch Ambulances shifted three causalities to the nearby hospital.
The PRCS Sindh branch, during the emergency, also mobilized its volunteers
who provided First Aid and paramedic support to the victims of the blasts
at various hospitals.
PRCS RESPONSE TO SUICIDE ATTACK IN ISLAMABAD
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society Emergency Ambulance Service on Sunday immedicately responded to a suicide blast near Melody Chowk, killing 19 people and injuring 40 where a large number of people had gathered in Lal Masjid to mark the first anniversary of an army raid on the complex. At about 7:45 pm, a suicide bomber blew himself up near the police stationed in the area to guard the mob.
PRCS Response
a. Four Ambulances of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) rushed to
the site of blast and participated in the rescue operation and shifted the
injured to the nearby hospitals.
b. After the blast, the Blood Donor Center of the PRCS remained in contact
with all the hospitals in the Capital for provision of blood to the victims
of the blast. It provided six units of negative blood and 10 units of plasma
to Federal Government Services Hospital for the injured victims.
