Disaster Response
Disaster Response is the sum total of actions taken by people and institutions in the face of disaster. These actions commence with the warning of an oncoming threatening event or with the event itself if it occurs without the warning. Disaster Response includes the implementation of disaster preparedness plans and procedures, thus overlapping with disaster preparedness. The end of disaster response comes with the completion of disaster rehabilitation program.

YEAR 2004 FIRING INCIDENT IN QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN
BACKGROUND

On 1st March 2004, 45 people died due to an act of Urban Terrorism involving firing and bomb blasts.

FINANCIAL AID BY PRCS - NHQ

On the instruction of Chairman, PRCS it was decided that PRCS Balochistan Branch shall be given Rs.200,000/- for the purchase of medicines and the provision of blood to the affectees of the firing incident and bomb blast.

FINANCIAL DONATION - HANDED OVER BY PRCS BALOCHISTAN BRANCH

The president PRCS Balochistan and Governor Balochistan, Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani, along with Mr. Sikander Hayat Jamali, Vhairman PRCS Balochistan Branch visited CMH, Quetta on 5th March 2004.

The Commanding Officer, CMH Quetta received dignitaries from PRCS Balochistan Branch and briefed them about the condition of firing affectees in the hospital.

Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani, Governor Balochistan and also being President PRCS Balochistan Branch visited all the patients.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani handed over the cheque of donation of Rs. 200,000/- to CO CMH Quetta, which was extended by PRCS Balchistan Branch.

MEDICINES - HANDED OVER BY PRCS BALOCHISTAN BRANCH

PRCS Balochistan Branch also handed over medicines to CMH, Quetta for firing affectees.
