RELIEF FOR GILGIT' RED CRESCENT YOUTH'

RELIEF FOR THE GILGIT AFFECTEES ARRIVES FROM TURKEY
A planeload of relief goods was sent in by the Turkish Red Crescent Society for the earthquake affected in the Northern Areas of Pakistan, as an expression of solidarity and goodwill. The relief consignment, containing 50 tents, 1080 blankets and 27 boxes of medicines, was handed over to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society by the Ambassador of Turkey to Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. H. Kemal Gur. The handing over, taking over was a formal ceremony held at the Air Base, Chaklala, Rawalpindi. The relief goods were later handed over by PRCS to the Director General Emergency Relief Cell of Cabinet Division, Government of Pakistan and were in turn dispatched the same day to the affected areas.
RED CRESCENT YOUTH DISTRIBUTE EID PACKAGES
PRCS Punjah PHQ with a very active Youth and Volunteer department brought moments of happiness to about 8000 orphans in the city of Lahore. The Red Crescent Youth Members, young students from different educational institutions collected and assembled the Eid packets consisting of goodies such as toys, stationery and eatables. These were then distributed by these committed RCY among the orphans and needy children in orphanages, hospitals and different under, developed areas of the city.
