Pakistan Red Crescent Society has been looking for and serving the most vulnerable people of the country for the last 56 years. Between the years 1999 and 2002 we have managed to reach well over 2.7 Million people of those most in need of humanitarian assistance. We have extended help in the fields of Refugee relief, Reproductive Services, Health, Safe Blood, Disaster, Tracing of Persons Missing as a result of Conflict or Disaster and Dissemination of Humanitarian Values under the guiding light of our 7 Fundamental Principles of Humanity. In all our efforts, every day we recognize that this assistance has been possible through the voluntary donations of time and money made by our donors, volunteers and friends.

We all spend the better portion of our lives immersed in work, and things that need to be done. We make 'to do' lists and 'when to' lists. It is not surprising then that the remaining time we spend in pursuit of things we want to do. A hobby, good deeds for humanity, some quality time with the family. But as the lists get longer and more dependent on other factors we start putting things off.

We've all known this emotion at one point in time or another. It's called procrastination. And its bad. It kills our efficiency. As well reflected in the magazine, a humanitarian organisation commits its time to the service of humanity. Every moment is precious. It is dedicated to the service of vulnerable people. How then can we compromise time? It is our most valued commodity. Lets lead proactive lives and lets give a moment to humanity!
