GOVERNANCE
EXECUTIVE MANAGING BODY
|
The Executive Managing Body of
PRCS is responsible for the Society's governance.
The managing body supervises the functions of the
Society and is assisted by various committees. Good
governance is ensured through its Central Managing
Body, which meets twice a year. Main functions of
the Managing Body are to: -
• Establish institutional objectives.
• Review and approve major plans/programs.
• Review & approve major institutional decisions.
• Evaluate institutional performance.
• Perform advisory role for the management.
• Approve budget for next year
• Appoint Auditors for next year and review audit reports.

Following Committees of the Managing Body are constituted to look after the various issues of the PRCS:
• Executive Committee
• Constitution Committee
• Planning & Monitoring Committee
• Construction Committee
• Health Committee
• Media / Public Relations Committee
The National headquarters is headed by the Chairman/Chairperson
supported by Secretary General who is assisted by
Director Operations, Media Advisor, Director Health,
Joint Director Finance and Deputy Director Admin. |
NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS AND
BRANCHES

The National Headquarters and
Branches work on separate financial system. The
main sources of income for NHQ are investments,
government grants, rental from real estate, membership
fee and support from the International Donors. The
government makes an annual grant of Rs. 20 Million.
Branches also independently raise their own funds
through a variety of activities. They contribute
10% of their local fundraising to the headquarters.
The annual accounts are audited by auditors approved
by the Managing Body.
PRCS maintains close links with various ministries, in particular the Ministries of Health, Education, Defence and with NGOs, which share similar objectives and principles. In general, the Society receives strong support and cooperation from the government and collaborates with other organizations in the country such as UNFPA, FPAP.
The PRCS ensures that all PRCS activities/programs are relevant to the needs of the community and are tailored to strengthen people's capacity in the long term. The effectiveness of the programs is judged continuously by evaluation carried out by regular monitoring and feedback. The Society maintains transparency in its working through documentation and accounting systems; external audits of projects are compulsory and have been included for several programs.
